Glock 43x Issues - Glock introduced two exciting and well-designed pistols at the 2019 Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. Glock, as much or more than any manufacturer, understands that there is a very important part of the concealed carry market.
History bears witness to Glock's service pistols being world renowned for their reliability and combat capability. The Glock 17, Glock 19 and other models are widely respected.

In concealed carry, viable improvements to both the Glock 19 and Glock 43 were sought.

The Glock 19 is a masterpiece and one of the best balanced handguns in the world. The Glock 19, and its closely related versions the Glock 19X and Glock 45, offer great gun reliability control and accuracy with decent ammunition reserves. The Glock 43 is a slim 9mm that offers true concealment with 9mm power but a limited capacity.
Glock came with the Glock 48 9mm. It could be called a long slide Glock 43, which has a longer grip than the G43, which has a 10-round magazine.
The Glock 48 is even thinner than the Glock 19. The Glock 43X is a standard slide Glock 43, but has a longer grip that holds a 10-round magazine. Everyone has their own place.
Slide is not spotless. But a silver NPVD coated product. Some people like this look, some will like an all black Glock. The Glock 43X features a forward sear. I'm glad I waited until Glock 43X pistols with night sights became available because my pistol has a nice set of self-aligning iron sights with an orange dot in front around the radioactive ampoule.

The pistol will fit Glock 43 holsters. The Glock 48 required manufacturers to prepare for a longer slide that is thinner than the Glock 19. The Glock 43X longer barrel gives the Glock 48 and Glock 19 some velocity, but then it is shorter and easier to conceal.
The Glock 43 will fit in some pockets. The 43X probably won't fit in a bag except for big crew types. There are no grip inserts and no light rail. As a former cop, I will say that the Glock 48 is a fine off-duty handgun. As a reasonable alternative, the Glock 43 is a good backup piece and the 43X is a gun for those who like the 43 but want to fire it a little more accurately.
I took the Glock to the range with a good mix of ammunition to test its reliability and practical shooting. I drew from a Tuck-It Complete Concealment Kydex inside the waistband holster. This company is one of the few going for the Glock 48. This holster accepts the smaller Glock 43X fine.
From concealed carry to quick presentation execution, the Glock 43X is sharp, very fast and clears the holster quickly. With the short frame Glock 43 it is more difficult to quickly establish a good fire grip. The Glock 43X offers a better fire grip. However, the shorter slide clears the holster just as quickly as the Glock 43.

I thoroughly dried the pistol before going to the range, and also practiced pulls. The result was good speed and a quick hit on target. I drew and fired man-sized targets at 5, 7 and 10 yards. The pistol is fast on target and tracks well.
The longer grip on the standard 43 is an advantage during practice fire. No, it's not up to the speed and control of the Glock 19, but it's a nice little gun.
The primary loads used during initial testing were Hornady 124-grain HAP practice bullets and handloads using WW 231 powder sufficient for 1,050 fps. I also used a common handload with Hornady 124-grain XTP at 1,100 fps. Titgruppe powder provided the fuel for this cargo. I used the factory Hornady 115-grain Critical Defense, the Hornady 124-grain XTP+P in the American Gunner line, and the Hornady 147-grain XTP. This includes practice loads, light and heavy bullet 9mm loads and heavy loads.
The Glock 43X fed, chambered, fired and ejected every load without issue. In rapid fire at man-sized targets, the orange dot front sight was used to aid rapid hits. As sight regulation, the pistol seemed dead on the money with the 115- to 124-grain loads and the 147-grain loads were a bit overkill.
Don't Glock Yourself: A Review Of The Striker Control Device
In terms of recoil, the Glock 43X is a pleasant handgun to fire. The pistol is lighter and thinner than the Glock 19, so the recoil impulse is greater, but it is an easier handgun to fire comfortably than the Glock 43. The 9mm just doesn't kick much and the Glock 43X is a comfortable handgun to shoot. to fire
Combat accuracy is more practical, but absolute accuracy is always interesting. I fired the handgun from a standing barrier at 15 yards with the Hornady Critical Defense as well as Hornady 147-grain XTP—firing five rounds of each load. Both settled in clusters just less than two inches apart. The Glock 43X is accurate enough for any personal defense task, reliable, lightweight, and an excellent choice for personal defense.

It was also adopted to honor the families of both the victims and the perpetrators. The pen name remains the same and the man remains a vocal advocate of using a gun that is adequate for the job.
